I have been going to this recycling centre for two years. It has been the best by far of any that I have used over the years. The staff are the most friendly and helpful you could possibly find. They are actually proud of their centre and proud they can boast that 69% is fully recycled. (The nearby borough of Lewisham recycles only 14%). Recently their load has been doubled due to a nearby recycling centre burning down. This means there are now often long queues, so aim to get there early.

Absolutely dreadful place. It's closed more than its open, i went there this morning before 9am and surprise surprise had to queue from the roundabout whilst they played with their digger.I managed to get in there and was confronted with the usual scrutiny of the contents of my rubbish and by the time i left 10 minutes later they were closing it again. The staff are way beyond rude and unhelpful, unless its approaching Christmas of course when the begging bowl comes out and all of a sudden they transform into polite and helpful human beings .Don't worry it won't last, by the new year they will be back to their usual rude and arrogant selves.I certainly don't condone fly tipping but can understand why people do it rather than face this place
Some staff are great but unfortunately some are absolutely useless, watched 4 of them sit around and chat rather than help an old couple who were holding up the bin change over. Spoke to the guy, he said he couldn't care less and we would just have to wait. Best bet is to use Dartford, they don't have the bin change issue or the "couldn't care less" attitude of some of the staff.
