My alternator died on the M25... I called a few places and I was quoted between 250-380 with a 5-7 day wait.I called Elmstead and they quotes 189+VAT with same day repair! I called the AA and they towed the truck to Elmstead and the owner got right on the job! I took a visit into Swanley to see the town and buy some things. I took a walk back to the garage and the brand new alternator has already been fitted!!When I arrived back, the owner tried to free up my brakes as they were sticking due to the caliper and offered some advice on future maintenance. He didn't charge me for this at all. It's really rare to find a good, honest and fast working mechanic these days. I live in Leicester, but would consider driving down to Swanley just so I could visit Elmstead again! Couldn't be happier!

At last a Mechanic who knows what he is talking about. I put my VW transporter in after my drive shaft cracked and he not only fixed it within 24 hours, Nigel worked until 8:30pm so I didnt miss work the next day. He also showed me the part that he took out, explained in detail what went wrong and even managed to fit me in when the whole day was booked. Not only that but the receptionist, Shanon, even helped get some money back from the AA. It was also a very reasonable price for such amazing work. Absolutely brilliant. I wish I could give you more stars.I definitely recommend to any other potential costumers. Thank you very much.
